Billpalmer.net online MUG April newsletter available for download, and other online MUG news

Saturday, April 10th, 2004  by Bill Palmer

I've got several things to share with readers regarding the billpalmer.net online Mac User Group, and all of them are good news (if you'd like to become an online MUG member, visit here):

1) The April edition of the Online MUG quarterly newsletter is available for download. It includes MUG news, details on discounts available for various Mac-related products (including the Apple MUG Store, MacWorld Boston, Mac books, and third-party software), as well as product reviews contributed by various local MUGs. The newsletter is in PDF format (will open with Acrobat Reader or MacOS X Preview) and can be downloaded by clicking here (please sign up to become a member prior to downloading the newsletter!).

2) The Mac-using Educators Special Interest Group meeting is scheduled for this Monday, April 12th, beginning at 7:00 pm EST. Detailed information on the Educators meeting agenda can be found here.

3) Due to popular demand, a monthly iPod Users Special Interest Group meeting has been added for the third Monday of each month, and will begin on Monday, April 19th, at 7:00 pm EST. Detailed information on the iPod users meeting agenda can be found here.

4) The online MUG iCal calendar is available for all members. It includes meeting dates and times, so that you'll never accidentally miss a meeting. iCal users can click here to subscribe to the calendar, and anyone with internet access can view the calendar online by clicking here (you might want to consider bookmarking it).

5) The tentative agenda for the May 3rd full-group online MUG meeting can be viewed here. If you have suggestions for the May 3rd meeting, feel free to send them along to MUG@billpalmer.net.

6) Happy holidays to everyone!

Once again, if you're not an online MUG member but you'd like to become one, just visit here and it'll take you about four seconds to sign up. With more than 400 members, the billpalmer.net online MUG is looking to become the most influential online Mac User Group on the internet. Come be a part of it!

No Panther user should be without:

You'll never guess what's happening in the iPod Garage.
